You are the first person to ever make your presence known to me. THANK YOU! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

Books I Wouldn’t Survive Without: POST THREE

Salve, dear people!

Buckling right down to business:

The Third Book: The Hunger Games. The book, not the series(I do like Catching Fire and Mockingjay though).

The Hunger Games taught too much to put into words.

Death isn’t funny. Death isn’t unnatural. But killing is awful.

Okay, that’s not a lesson I needed to learn.

“Dreams like a podcast,
Downloading truth in my ears.
They tell me cool stuff.”
“Apollo?” I guess, because I figured nobody else could make a haiku that bad.
He put his finger to his lips. “I’m incognito. Call me Fred.”
“A god named Fred?”

Books I Wouldn’t Survive Without: POST TWO

Hi, folks.

Next book(s) on my list(which, by the way, is in no particular order) is *drumroll and off-key fanfare* OKAY, OKAY! *holds ears* It’s the Divergent series .

Divergent showed me so much about forced life, along with other books. It showed how to go about forgiveness, and how to live selflessly. Well, I can’t say I do, but Veronica Roth tried.

Back on task.

Divergent taught how to accept myself and others.

What Abnegation Taught Me:

  • To think of others first
  • To live as simply as your mind can bear it
  • Gray is not boring

What Amity Taught Me:

  • Listen first to their story.
  • Kindness is irreplaceable virtue.

What Candor Taught Me:

  • The truth can protect. The truth can hurt. But the truth is better than lies.
  • Think of what you mean. Say what you mean, not a variation.

What Dauntless Taught Me:

  • Go for it.
  • Stand up for your friends.

What Erudite Taught Me:

  • Knowledge can be powerful.
  • Enlightenment is as close as you can get to understanding.

Oh, and I’m an Erudite. A good one. Not a LET’S GO NUTS FOR KNOWLEDGE AND DESTROY THE WORLD Erudite. In the war I would’ve sided with Amar, Tris, Christina, Tobias, Uriah etc.

“Moths,” repeats Will. “You’re afraid of moths?”

“Not just a cloud of moths,” she says, “like…a swarm of them. Everywhere. All those wings and legs and…” She shudders and shakes her head.

“Terrifying,” Will says with mock seriousness. “That’s my girl. Tough as cotton balls.”

“Oh, Shut up.”
― Veronica Roth

From Good to Worse

Have you ever had one of these days?

I finished my book(LOONG) in the morning, make cookies for a graduation, and then my mother burns them because she tells me that the parchment paper is for the oven. It’s for the microwave.

Now we’re buying cookies. I have NEVER bought cookies in my life. NEVER. I honestly don’t care what they think, but I care what I think. And I’m pretty disappointed in myself.

No, it’s too late to whip up another batch.

Thanks for listening.

“Don’t be ashamed to weep; ’tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us.”
Brian Jacques, Taggerung

I probably shouldn’t inflict all my troubles on you. But I will anyway. I’m a nerdy rebel. I don’t follow rules.

My life isn’t going very well. I hate my teacher with good reason. I’m sorta kinda alone. So yeah.

Part of the reason I started this blog was to talk to people. People who will solely know me through this blog.

And that’s what I hope I’ll accomplish by putting things out there.

So, let me prepare a longer post about all this…when I can.
